We are excited to share the exciting news that prominent Turkish scholar M. Fethullah Gülen was named as one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2013. Mr. Gülen's reinterpretation of various facets of the Islamic tradition speaks to his contemporary Muslim audience, and his message of intercultural dialogue, community service and education inspires millions of people in his native Turkey and around the world.

Our Hearts Go Out to Boston

All of us at the Society of Universal Dialogue (S.U.D.) were shocked and horrified upon hearing about the atrocious bombings in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday, April 15th 2013. To think that somebody would detonate bombs especially at an iconic event such as the Boston Marathon - mere days before Patriot's Day - in the midst of throngs of innocent bystanders is utterly devastating and heartbreaking.

We are shocked and saddened by the terrorist attack outside the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey, where a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device killing himself and one other person, identified by U.S. Ambassador Francis Ricciardione as a Turkish embassy guard.
